It says "24 sets" though. Does one piece have two cool downz? Set implies two. Stephen speedogirl2 wrote:mystery250 wrote:Are there a total of 48 in a set? Two per? It looks like it on the package. Don't know.
I am going to give these out to random people on the street who look like they need a little cooling down. I have a small little ice chest that would be perfect to store these in, if storing them on ice won't hurt them.
Call it a random act of kindness. There are 24 cool downz per "order". Unless you buy 2 sets. Then you'll get 48.

No, it's just 24. If you look in the description, it says there are 24 in a set. Set just implies there are more than one item to the whole. I agree that the title is a bit misleading. I pointed it out earlier in this thread and LadyFling responded, but didn't fix the title. When you say "24 sets" and define a "set" to be 24 separate units, it makes it sound like 24 sets of 24. If the title was changed to "Set of 24" instead of "24 Sets", I think most of the confusion should disappear (hint, hint!). They come in a display box with 24 Cool Downz of about 9 different styles in the box. -tamashii mystery250 wrote:It says "24 sets" though. Does one piece have two cool downz? Set implies two. Oh well. I'd cancel, but there'd be a $5 cancellation fee.
I guess this means I won't be flinging anything else, if they can't get their wording straight, making it almost impossible not to misinterpret what they are selling. I really thought itwas 48 total. (24 SETS as it sad, set implies two).
I guess they are still useful, even if only half as many as I thought.

6 days later and my order is still processing. My last order was quick and came in a week, and I gave kudos to the TF staff, in another thread, about how much I appreciated the quicker service. I hoped that the long delivery time issues had maybe been resolved but I guess not. This is the only site I use that takes over a week to get your order to you. The norm here is 2 weeks and that's just too long. Tf seems to really care about keeping a good relationship with their customer base and that's the reason I've kept sticking around but something needs to be done about the time issue. Seriously, that's what will drive me away. Every thing else about the site I am cool with.

I think I have figured them out though, they want your item to be processing for so long that when you order their next product and few days down the road they can combine the shipping of them but still charge you $6 each.

About the shipping complaints, did you people forget there was a HOLIDAY WEEKEND involved, give TF a break once in a while. As to set: there is one cooldown and a cardboard display which includes instructions, clipped onto it. and there are 24 sets in a box. 60+ Flings

These things are AWESOME! It's already in the 90's here - we've been painting my dad's car and painting my parent's house, so the Cool Downz have become UBER important. I gave one to all my siblings, nieces and nephews, so we can all stay cool while painting this weekend. BUT - do not leave them in your fridge for too long! My husband used one last weekend, and put it in the fridge so it would be nice and cool for the next day. Apparently, our fridge is set a little on the cold side, as the sucker froze and burst!! Sheesh.... Oh well - live and learn.... Luckily, I have plenty more on hand....

wopaul wrote:About the shipping complaints, did you people forget there was a HOLIDAY WEEKEND involved, give TF a break once in a while. Yes I did consider that. Another similar site has already got my order to me that I ordered at around the same time. I don't consider what I said b***hing at TF but more as constructive criticism. Reading comprehension is a wonderful thing. Maybe you ought to find you some before you jump in with a reply like you made. Just sayin... I made a suggestion as to what would make me a happier customer. It's TF's choice as to whether or not they want to act on it.

OOPS!! Play nice!! I'm sure Wopaul wasn't trying to be mean. There's been a lot of people coming into the forums complaining about things and I'm sure he was just trying to help. NOT trying to upset you....Also, some of the Newer Flingers don't realize that sometimes TF does take longer to ship items out...I can't give an honest answer to why that is, just that it does. So please, don't take offense! 49 Flings Flung and WAAY more to come!Female in case you don't know LMAO

I just Flung these and tried to use my Reseller Ratings coupon. I got this Unexpected Error message,
"Unable to cast object of type 'System.Collections.Generic.List`1[WebRock.VirtualShop.Model.PromotionStore]' to type 'System.String'. Source: WebRock.VirtualShop.Web Target: Boolean CheckPromo(WebRock.VirtualShop.Model.Product, WebRock.VirtualShop.Model.Customer, System.Decimal, WebRock.VirtualShop.Model.Promotion, Int32) Stack Trace: at WebRock.VirtualShop.Web.Controllers.BaseOrderController.CheckPromo(Product product, Customer cust, Decimal amount, Promotion promo, Int32 addUseCount) at WebRock.VirtualShop.Web.Controllers.OrderController.GetPromoCodeStatus(Int64 customerid, Int64 productlistid, String promoCode, Int32 qty) "
Anyone else have trouble using this coupon?

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And TF keeps telling me they work fine! I've missed three things I wanted (how can I ever get shagged if I can't buy the MB? ) by trying to get the things to work! I've had it with two different coupon codes. Frustrating. Especially when they finally answer the ticket with " try again, it should work." Arg!! Not on MY dog! She would rip it off shake and beat it until she was sure the thing was dead. Then, she would parade around with the carcass and I would have a HUGE mess of the filler to clean up.

Sorry that you feel that way and I didn't say you were b***hing at TF, also my post was somewhat generic as there were other people with the same complaint and that is why I said "you people".. and as you said " Reading comprehension is a wonderful thing." sometimes we all need it. No offense intended 60+ Flings

come on already....throw it back to the dollar store bargin bin and move on already!! Or not. I'd actually like to have this be a permanent item at TF, much like the leakfrogs and roombas are at woot... At first, I didn't know what to do with them all, but half the box has gone out to friends/family or in trades already and everyone loves them, myself included! In Alabama, all soft drinks/sodas/pop/carbonated beverages are called Coke regardless of the brand or flavor...that took me by surprise at first.
Shortly after I moved to Alabama, I stopped to get gas. The weather had turned unusually cold, and I noticed that the outdoor display of 2-liter bottles of Coke (real Coke) was icing up. I told the man working in the check-out booth "I think your pop is freezing." He just looked at me strangely. "The Coke," I explained, gesturing toward his display...then he got it! LOL!
