just received my AMB XVIII,

purchased it for $30 and this is what i got

1 AA Monster battery charger
1 AAA Monster battery charger
4 NiMN rechargable batteries
1 battery charger
1 Adapter for the charger
1 car adapter for battery charger
1 camera neck strap

all products are made in china, whose price put together won't even come upto $30/- leave alone $100 as claimed by ThingFling.

I'm very very very disappointed. Now I know, Mistery box contains stuff that nobody wants to buy, thingfling is enclosing it in a box and selling it for a good price so that no one knows what junk they are shipping.

Good business strategy thingfling !!

don't get carried away with what thingfling says.
Will upload a picture soon and u'll see it for urself.

You didnt know that Monster's products were made in china? Did you go look up the prices on these items for yourself?

Looks like I got the same stuff:

1 AA Monster battery charger w/ 4-pack batteries
1 AAA Monster battery charger w/ 4-pack batteries
4 AA NiMH rechrg batteries
1 AA Monster battery charger
1 AC adapter for the additional charger
1 car power adapter for additional charger
1 camera neck strap

The additional home/car charger looks to retail at about $15. The two chargers that were known to come in this box also can be had for around $15 each on Ebay. The additional four pack of batteries goes for around $5. I'll even toss in a $1 for the camera neck strap, lol.

So, for $30 you got about $51 worth of stuff at going retail/Ebay prices. I can't say I'm exactly impressed either, but I don't think I got hosed.

Shhh

Mistery = Mystery. Perhaps thats the first problem.

The items are at cost of the materials under 30. But you are paying for not raw products but things that are put together. Each of the battery chargers goes for about 30 dollars on eBay. I also see that the batteries also thrown in are about 5 dollars or so. You also got an additional charger that can also be adapted into your car. Together these are worth much more than the $30. How exactly can you be upset with knowing what two of the things were ahead of time? Thats like getting upset that you ordered a dinner at a restaurant only to complain about it because it didn't include a fillet, lobster tail, and a complimentary bottle of champagne.

For 30 dollars i got batteries for life for my Wii and my mp3 player, tv remote, or whatever. You knew what you got into. What you are really saying is i'd like a Cadillac but only want to pay for the raw materials, which is about 600 dollars or so. Applause Go bring that up to Cadillac, I'm sure you can bargain them down to 550, and then get your money back after you purchase it only to discover they didn't supercharge it, make it run on only one tank of gas, and fly. Exactly.. Its not thingfling's fault that sohelsaleem didnt research these products before buying. You knew what exactly youd be getting before you purchased the box.

Also, teddy, do you get some lobster tails in your AMB?? I could really go for some right now.

Well, I think the stuff they are selling is GREAT stuff! I haven't gotten my AMB XVIII yet, but I know I wanted to two Moster battery chargers, so I bought the box. The other stuff is just gravy - useful and fun gravy. I would much rather get the things I've gotten from the Thingsters than some of the items I've heard others have gotten from other sites (like used fax machines in the Bag of Fun?!?!?!?!?! What kind of "fun" is that???)

Again, it's an ALMOST "mistery" box - if you don't want the non mystery items, then you shouldn't buy the box....

Keep up the excellent deals and customer service Flingsters!

I completely agree. I saw two chargers + batteries for $30, did some research and saw normally they would cost me about $50-60 from places aside from ebay. then you add in shipping and I was thrilled with the price.

it seems silly to complain, especially start a new thread just to complain. i will be thrilled when i get to open my box today when i get home from work even if it is 2 chargers w/batteries and 3 pounds of packing peanuts...

This was my first purchase here and I was a little worried about being let down, but I'm pretty happy with what I got!

I saw that little box on my doorstep this afternoon, and was expecting the battery chargers and probably just some cheesy little things (pens, flashlights, screwdriver sets, etc.) that I had no use for. Finding the third charger and extra batteries in there just made me smile Very Happy

It's the same as the rest, but here's what I got:

1 AA Monster battery charger, with 4 AA batteries
1 AAA Monster battery charger, with 4 AAA batteries
1 4-pack of AA NiMH rechargable batteries
1 battery charger with 2 adapters (one for home and one for the car) - I think it said that it can charge both AA and AAA batteries?
1 neck strap for camera or other portable device

Thanks so much! Can't wait to see what my next purchase brings me Wink

Sweet! I can't wait to get mine. Those blister pack ones were sold individually on TF for about $10 each, and the charger and AC adapter + car adapter was selling around $18 on TF during Super Bowl Sunday... Already, you know that this is a great deal as opposed to buying them separately when TF was offering them!
25 flings and counting!

Guess I'll post here instead of in the original thread like I usually do...

Anywho I got the same stuff as everyone else this box.

I'm happy with the items just a little disappointed with the variety.

Yep, I got the same thing too, i would post a picture but it would look just like the one already up.

i'm quite pleased, especially that the bonus batteries were AA.

8 AA = 4 happy Wii-motes. Dancing

Thanks Thing Fling...

Looks like my box will be here this afternoon. I'm sure it'll be the same as all the others, but I'm happy about that. My Wii will be too.

maybe that is why sohelsaleem is upset. it isn't that they are displeased with the box, but really a subconscious angst that everyone else is using the batteries for their Wii...

I got the same as everyone else is reporting. It was my first mystery box and it was a really good deal (though a few more 'what the heck is this' mysteries in the box would have been nice). The extra charger was also made by Monster and I liked that it had the cord and not a direct plug on the back of it-it lets me put it places that are not convenient for a wall-type recharge unit.

The extra batteries were really a plus!!! My Wiimote thanks you (like so many other people's on here). Smile

Thanks ThingFling-I have only been here a couple of months, but I am really a flingaddict now!

Only one mistake in shipping and that was fixed right away. I am so happy with all of my purchases.

Sure everyone rub it in about the Wii. My hubby and kids have been driving me crazy for one. Brick wall And of course I can't find a non-bundle system.
Well atleast when we ever get one I should have enough batteries for it.Rolling Eyes

Heres a dumb question, do the batteries come charged or do I have to charge them before I use them?

you'll need to charge them...there is usually a latent charge them but not a full one.
