And inside was the monster power inverter for my car. I just slipped that in the center console, plugged it in to the lighter slot thingymabob and flipped it on and I was good to go. That is, until I realized you ought to turn it off if you aren't driving.
No worries though, I realized this while I was still driving, so no dead batteries for me. I'm sure I'll forget at some point though. Naah, the benefits outway the risks, and now I can have what I need for road trips!

i doubt its drawing that much juice unless you leave an item plugged in, ( and unlike a cell phone or GPS with small draw, this one can ruin your evening if you leave your microwave plugged in and on)...lol

LOL At Thing Fling, you get what you pay for... and then some! 103 Flings (not counting multiples!) and growing!

Most newer cars now have a popwer port and a cigarette lighter. Both look the same, both will power the device, but the cigarette lighter only has juice when the key is in the on position. If there is only one power port you might be able to pull a fuse so it only comes on when the key is in the on position. Check your manual.
