Missing Power Supply and clicking sound

I got my package today... lots of stuff! I was almost happy, BUT:

1) No power supply for the Altec Lansing unit
2) The unit has an annoying clicking sound even when disconnected from the ipod/mp3player.

Anyone with problems like these?
