Hi All,

Last night we made some changes to our mail server as we are trying to resolve the problems with customers who are not getting emails for registering, ordering, shipping and forgot password confirmations.

We made some tests and everything seemed to be working fine.

Now we need your help to make sure the application is working fine.

Please post to this forum if going forward from 2/16/2007, you do or do not get a confirmation email related to any actions you have with us (i.e. registering, ordering, etc)

We thank you all for your patience regarding this issue.

Seems like the forgot password page is sending out an email too. So the email server seems to be working.
Good job!

Very nice! Good job over there at the Thing Fling factory! Like Lotzafun, I got a shipping confirmation for my furgle order yesterday morning. I was surprised when I got an email. Smile

It's a nice addition for the emails of confirmation on registering, ordering, shipping, and forgetting one's password. This will certainly reassure new customers when they order. Wink

-I got an order confirmation today right after ordering the Dynamo Flashlights. Smile
-I got a shipping email from USPS with a delivery confirmation for an item that states (under MY ACCOUNT) was shipped 02/14; I got the email 02/15. Smile

-But I didn't get a USPS shipping email for an item that says (under MY ACCOUNT) was shipped 02-15.

I don't mind. Just making a note of possible glitches or whatever.

Just got my first e-mail confirmations on WW2. (hey, wasn't that a war?)
"First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then flingest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

Just tried "forgot password" link, to see if i would get the mail. I got that one but none of the others. For example the e-mail for the tool almost mystery box being sent out a litle late because of waiting for a product. I didn't get that one.

p.s. It's no big deal just as long as i get my thingsVery Happy
I'll reply when my open order gets shipped whether i got an email or not.Smile

No email after registering a couple of hours ago
No email after clicking the "forgot password" button.

(No email from thingfling in my spamtrap either, so your email might be filtered by a "higher level" filter, or perhaps is stuck in a queue somewhere)

Just purchased the latest Almost Mystery Box.
Purchase was successful, but no confirmation email arrived in my ISP's inbox.

I tried sending an email to myself, using the "E-Mail" facility in this forum.
Email arrived in my ISP's emailbox OK.

Perhaps that diagnostic will help localize the problem of the unreceived emails.
