Picked this up last time it was offered. Hooked it up earlier today, works perfect with my Treo 755p. Used my 9.99MB coupons for an extra good deal.

I understand this WON'T work with the TREO 700w or wx, so don't bother if you have one of those smartphones. Otherwise, this would be worth buying. If someone knows different, I'd be willing to buy one off of those of you who got it with a MB and don't have any use for it. Let me know.

This thing is the best. I use it with my Treo 755p and works great. I have it on my desk at work and watch my sling box on it! Dancing
At Thing Fling, you get what you pay for... and then some!

These are coming back as a 4-pack. Remember it can be used with the aux input with your laptop for watching movies, for instance. Or placed on your bed next to the pillow for mp3 while going to sleep.

Bought this from here, back last year or so. My wife has loved it as a excellent dock to charge her Verizon Palm Treo 650 right on the nightstand.

Well, my wife had the Treo 650 for 4.5 years and finally decided she was gonna move onto a newer Smartphone. After an hour of playing around with the phones at Verizon she was deciding between one of the Crackberries or a Palm Centro. She went for the Centro.

And SO, for anyone with a Palm Centro wondering if this phone would work in it:
Yes, it will work.
I can't speak for the Speakerphone capability as she doesn't use it but the Audio playback sounds great and the charging capability works great. And if she even used it as an actual dock to sync the phone manually I think that would work fine too. I hope this helps.

BTW - I broke my #42 post silence to put this up here so hopefully someone will appreciate it.

I got this two weeks ago, for $12.00 + s/h. Once I connected my MP3 player, My Mambo Kaser (an iTouch clone), and, a portable 7" T.V., and, a portable DVD player to it, I was in love! Such great sound! And, compact! Works oh so well on my desk, bedside, kitchen, and, my bathroom! As well as portable so I can carry it outside as well! Will be great for the spring power outages!
My only regret was that I only bought one! And, I never expected to see this on sale again. I checked online and prices for this can reach 80 bucks!!
Now, to see it even cheaper than the first time, I jumped on it and ordered two more! Forget gifts....these are all mine!
No, I don't use it for any phone, so, I can't comment on that feature. But, for the uses I described above, it works great!
My one disappointment was that the mini-subwoofer that the packaging talks about can't be found anymore. Maybe ThingFling can find some and offer them for far cheaper than the original $40.00 asking price.
If you use it in your office cubicle, your cube mates will either be jeolous or hate you! Or, they will steal it!!
I think I will go back and order 2 more!!
THANKS, ThingFling!!!

Wow - these have been around for a long time! I got one in a shagging long, long ago and have tried selling it at our street sales in 2008 and 2009 - no takers.

It's still in the shrink wrap.

I know that this works with any mp3 player although designed for the Treo. I have a Saitek speaker that I got in a mystery box from another site (that shall remain nameless and has really declined in quality since. In fact, now that I think about it, I believe they're out of business!) and that works great when I want a speaker for my mp3 player. But, now that this item has dropped a lot in price and I've been unable to sell it, I'm considering opening it and seeing if it's better than my Saitek.

The Saitek runs on batteries as well as AC. It sounds like this thing is the same - DC or AC? Can anyone tell me if that's the case before I break the shrink wrap?

The list was getting too long to continue to provide details: 34 flings flung - 18 of them mysteries

I just checked mine I bought about a month ago for my Treo 700p, and yes it looks like it takes 4 AA batteries.

I always have mine plugged in for charging, synching, as well as playing music, so I can't attest to the sound, battery life, etc. using the batteries, but I have been VERY happy with mine while plugged in. In fact, I bought a second one, so I have one at home and work.

Hope this helps.

I just learned about ThingFling from this deal showing up on Dealmac for today (Friday). But when I come here, ThingFling is showing a pair of cheap headphones with a microphone. Is the Altec Lansing deal over?

Yep - sorry! You missed it.

But, keep on checking. It's been up a number of times before and it will very likely be back again.

Thanks!

I really don't know that I even need this. I just might want to open up the box and check it out. There are just so many wyas to play mp3s now. I've got a semi-portable stereo that plays mp3 disks and has a USB port on it, I've got wireless speakers for my PC, AUX inputs in the auotmobiles, etc. etc.

I just received my dock and I have to say I love it so far. I have the Treo 755p and it works fine. My wife has the Centro and I am sure it'll work on this also. I am using it for Slingbox , like Guru2gadgets does, and it is very clear on the plug and wih batteries, just not sure how long the batteries will last yet. Great deal for meDancing
