The mystery is why I keep ordering these MB's! The 29.99 box came and it seemed like there wasn't much to it. But what really got me was that the Altec speakers that I ordered around the same time were in the box! Nice to save additional shipping, but, did the speakers take up room in the MB? Did whoever put them together think the speakers were part of my MB and left something out? So ultimately my box cost around 50 bucks and was not worth half that. No need to post what I got, those who sent it know! As much as I love a good mystery, no more for me! I think I was reversed shagged!

I got my box with a bunch of stuff in it. Similar to what most people got. I had some other retirees over and we went through the box. It was a big hit for us old folks. Most of the thingflings we can use. I was a big hit with the elderly ladies. Now they're going to bake me some chocolate chip cookies. Thanks ThingFling.

I got my speakers too and it was my understanding that they were part of the mystery box (otherwise the value doesn't add up). I checked the orders and they have the same tracking #...

It is still my understanding that the speakers were part of the mystery box. I will contact customer support about my speakers and dispute the charge with paypal if necessary.

Nice gesture from Court! They really do read these comments! I better watch my spelling from now on. I received another little MB with a letter of apology over my recent MB let down. WOW! Excellent customer service! Above and beyond what I expected. Thank you very much!Applause

Hmm, I was quite let down also, hope I get another little something that I could use. My New Years MB let me down quite a bit. Matter of fact I still have everything in the box sitting on the floor. Each time I look at it, it makes me wonder if this is my year of if that was just a hint of what to expect for the future.

I do have to give the royal court credit, last year I bought MB's that were quite decent, some not. The ones that weren't enough people gave feedback and TF made it right by giving us letters of apologies, free shipping codes, and free greeting cards.

Happy New Year BobbyC

I was away on vacation and got back to this. It was a pile of crap, and for $36 I feel ripped. I guess unless the King makes it right with a coupon or something this will be my first and only Mystery Box for 2009. Kind of a bummer, but I feel used by this box. No item was worth more than a couple of bucks. If this was a $10 or even $15 box I wouldn't feel so bad, but this really blows. A Y splitter that I got in a MB 3 months ago and an Ipod charger? Those were the big 2 items. I am not a happy Flinger today.

I got with the Squiggly things

3 Magnavox retractable headphones
1 unidentified gaming headset
1 Retractable Cat5e network cable
1 HDMI to DVI-D adapter
1 COAX compression tool
1 MP3 Speaker in a bag
1 Magnetic Screwdriver set
1 Box of hand cleaning towels
1 Philips Cordless Phone with Digital Answering Machine and 2nd Handset
1 Philips Theatre Director 4320 Joule Home Theatre Surge Protector
1 Phillips webcam
And other stuff. I don't know what to do with a lot of it so I'll have to wait until my Son gets here to help me figure out what I can use.

I don't know for sure but I think I might have got a Jersey Shirt from number 22 base ball player Clemmons?. It's a 3X and I'm a size 3 to 5 gal so it's a little big. A watch.

I'll try this again but can't see how they can send something for $10 but what if I get lucky and get a little tv or something for the grandkids as I have no idea what else I'm going to use the home theatre thing for.

This was fun.

While what I received (speakers, headphones, jumbo remote, etc.) were at or near the 30.00 value mark, this is my first full-out MB and I will stick to the AMB from now on.

I guess I am just whining because I only have a couple outlets per room. After ordering two separate squid AMB a while back that came with a half dozen other power outlets, if I used the six in my new MB at my house, the fire marshal will evict me!

That said, if anyone wants to swap for speakers, headphones, or a jumbo remote, let me know!

Happy surprises!

Wow, a couple of you really got some bonuses. My box was nothing much to report.

Speakers
jumbo remote
head phones
camera lens cleaner
jeep cd holder for car visor
pack of screen protectors
retractable ethernet cord
2 mini tripods
3 way plug surge protector
2 socket car adapter

Not really worth the price paid, especially compared to the above people. But you win some and you lose some. Sad But the next one will be great. Smile

I will say that one of my packages got lost by Fedex, and Thingfling mailed replacements right out. Got them today. Less than a week. Thanks Royal CourtApplause

We pretty much got what everyone else did. I was probably the only one happy with the Jeep organizer-gonna put it in my Jeep! Some things we can use, some we gave to our geek son-in-law because he is a computer geek-but a great guy. The rest we'll save as gifts. It was fun opening the box and checking it out. We'll do it again.
