  • A Ceiling Light Wall Switch Kit which includes 1 socket adapter and 1 wall-mount control;

Easy to set up, you will get inexpensive control of your home lighting with those appliances.

The GE Transmitters and Receivers use the same 8 channels (Radio Frequency Codes). There are two types of products - transmitters and receivers. At least one of each is required to create a SmartHome system, but one transmitter can be used with several receivers.

The transmitter (functions as a remote control) sends the RF signal to the receiver (which is plugged into an outlet and the appliance is plugged into this receiver). The receiver then turns on the appliance. Both the transmitters and receivers have a dial with eight different positions that allows the homeowner to control up to eight appliances with one transmitter, as said before. All eight appliances can be turned on at the same time or they can be turned on individually. For example, lights on the front porch can be set on channel 1, lights inside on channel 2, and the coffee pot on channel 3. With just the turn of a dial the transmitter can be set to channel 3, to turn on the coffee, and none of the lights will be affected. If you wanted all three appliances to turn on at the same time you could set them all to the same channel.

The Wall-Mount Control you will receive is a transmitter and it is able to control up to 8 areas of your home by selecting different channels, and the Socket Adapters are receivers and they can be screwed into any existing light socket. You will also get a Outdoor Receiver (out lights) to add even more convenience, and a Key Chain Transmitter for you have secure feeling of being able to turn on indoor and outdoor lights while still 100 feet away from your house.

I guess 4 is the maximum number of orders allowed. I would have bought more since I know had free shipping, but I wasn't permitted.

Bought one of these from TF earlier this year. I'm considering expanding the set with this one. It's actually very nice. The range is fantastic and since I rent an older house, it's a convenient way to add switches in a snap.

I just got all but the outdoor part in my mysterybox today and have already put them to use. I put the switch on the nightstand so I dont have to get out of bed to turn the lights off in my room at night!!! Applause Applause Applause

Compatibility issues anyone?
I have not been able to get the RF104S switch to turn on and off anything but the socket adapter that came in the same package. It does not appear to be capable of controlling the RF104RFXPS-D socket adapters that were included. Is anyone else seeing this? I'm not sure if mine are simply bad (bad luck) or are not compatible (more likely).

The Heavy Duty outlet (green plug) does NOT work with the Smart controller (white switch). The key chain remote is paired to the plug only. If you wanted to get more.. You would need to look at the back of the remote and match the "letter" on it. Smile

Yeah, same here. The Key Chain Transmitter and wall switch transmitter that came with mine are not "SmartHome" so they will not control the socket adapters Idea So I've got two useless socket adapters now. Evil or Very Mad

That seems like a good reason to request a refund. The set I bought was fully compatible (keychain and wall switch worked with every adapter), but I would have been upset if they weren't.
Did you get exactly what you see on the photo above? If so, they should be compatible and you might need to check not only the channel setting (1-12) but also the little hidden "house" switch. Somewhere on all the pieces is a tiny pair of switches that allow neighboring houses to use all 12 channels without interference. Make sure they're all set the same.

No, I didn't get what was in the photo above. Both transmitters and the one receiver that came with the wall switch, don't have the channel settings. Which I guess is why they are not "Smart". The instructions also clearly state in bold letters, "This transmitter/receiver pair is NOT compatible with GE SmartHome remotes".

I have confirmed that the "light socket receiver/transmitter pair" is SmartHome and the two additional "light socket receivers" are SmartHome Plus. The SmartHome transmitter is not compatible with the SmartHome Plus recievers. Solution: I'm not angry. If I had dug into the gory details before hitting 'buy' I might have figured it out. I went on Amazon and purchased a SmartHome Plus transmitter. "GE SmartHome Wall Mount (RF102TXPS)". It costs like $8 plus shipping. Sure, it increases the entire cost of the project, but, whatever. This way I'll have two transmitters and can make two working installations between the mix of three receivers.

Cmon guys... One of the reasons I know to stop buying stuff here. I've received so much deals that were great, but I've also been burnt and stuff went straight into the trash.
