Nice Haul. If it is indeed spring cleaning time it will be interesting to see what everyone else got. Perhaps everyone will get differnt items in their boxes.

On a side note: Do people still listen to CD's?

I don't know about other people, but I listen to CD's all the time. Of course, I have about 6,000 of them... Smile

I have many of them as well, but nowadays I figured most prefered a more 'portable' format.

I dont know what Id do without my mp3 player. I get to carry 1/4 of my music collection around with me all the time Smile

I still listen to CDs as well, have a pretty extensive collection too Laughing BTW for those that were picking at the cassette adapter a couple of weeks ago from a MB on another site... Yup still use one of those too. My vehicle( used 1995 Ford Windstar) didn't come with cd player and never planned on having it the 4+ yrs I have had it. But other than in the vehicle I use my MP3 player and carry around most of my music collection around with me on micro sd cards... lol about 10 of them. about 25 GB of MP3s. Laughing Very Happy Dancing Dancing Dancing

I love the Mystery Box! I love the comments people leave. But, with this box, it looks like someone knocked off 'ol Ike's General Store (Rite-aid) on Walton's Mountain! All this new fangled e-lectronic... Anyway, not much use for any of my MB. Still fun to get it, but, portable cd player, night lights?! Better luck to the rest of you (and on my next MB!)! Even my 70 year old mother has an Mp3 player! But I do listen to cd's, but not out walking or ..cough..jogging.

Sadly the lack of fundage prevented me from participating in this MB, but it looks like everyone is receiving some fun stuff!

I would be really interested in trading for one of those portable CD players if anyone would like to part with theirs. Send me a PM and I can offer up a list of potential items that you might like or let me know what you might want for a fair trade. I will also be watching the Thing Fling trade thread to see if one appears there. Smile

Thanks!

EDIT: I have already received PMs from three awesome Thing Flingers. So hopefully I can work out a nice trade with one of them and score myself a CD player. Funny that I do have a couple MP3 players, but I still find a weird sort of enjoyment in the idea of putting on a CD and reading in bed at night.

Anyway...many thanks for the responses!

Though I didn't participate this time around (still a bit burned by all the defective cell-phone lights!), I am actually in search of a portable speaker.

If anyone is interested in parting with the portable speakers, let me know... we can see if there is something we can work out.

Okay, for those that watched my 12345 MB ranting and thought I should say when I DID like something... here goes. I really DO like this box! Some of the stuff I will have to figure out what to do with, but Christmas isn't that far off and some might be good Karma gifts for co-workers. I got a lil bit different haul...

Monster iSportCase for iPod
10 Pack Philips velcro Cable Organizer straps
Maximo Car Charger for Nintendo DS/GBA
GPX 'Jogger' Portable CD Player (C3989)
Gemini USB Notebook Light (2 LED)
GE Incandescent Night Light (purple shield with star cutouts)
Samsonite 1.4 BB Camera Bag (good sized one, not just a camera pocket)
#8 Dale Jr NASCAR branded squeaky dog toy in shape of wooly paw with rope handle
Tokina Digital Camera Battery Charger with 4 2000AH AA Betteries AC/DC plugs
Xantrex 100W Pocket Inverter - Power inverter with USB
1 5-pack Sun Pool & Spa Products Cleaning Gloves (5 pre-moistened spa/pool cleaning mitts)

WooHoo! I can't imagine what a shagged box must look like! This is a huge variety of stuff and well worth the price! Congrats TF!!!!! You have reaffirmed my belief in the Kingdom of Fling!

I won't go into the detail of listing everything item by item, but I can certainly say that I'm happy with what I got. Dancing The DVI-to-HDMI cable is my favorite item, but the DVD / CD repair kit is definitely going to come in handy for me as well. But yeah, ThingFling has once again come through with something that made me very happy when I opened the big ol' Hawaiian Punch box again today. Lots of goodies that I'll likely put to use one way or another. Applause

Welp here it is in all its glory!

GE Smart Home switch and 3 light socket receivers
GE light sensing light socket switch (turns lights on at dusk and off 1 to 6 hours later)
2 GE magnetic window alarms
Radius LED beacon (magnetic 10 LED red light)
GE nightlight (to add to the 36 free nightlights I bought last month lol)
GE 6" Closet light (this will come in handy, I always get yelled at for turning on the bedroom light in the morning to get my clothes out for work)
Gemini laptop lock
Gemini universal USB connector set (retractable, cool!)
Monster iSport case for iPod (I have a Zune boohoo)

Not pictured:
Samsonite Bag
LED finger lamp
3 bottles of baby wash/shampoo

Lastly maybe someone in the Royal Court could help me out here:

1 Gyration wireless keyboard. This thing looks cool, but THERES NO RF USB RECEIVER! Can someone send me one?

All in all a fantastic haul, I am very pleased. The GE stuff will fit well in my house already filled with X10 gadgets!
