Has anyone seen their Speaker system? I would assume at that price it is a crappy computer one but does anyone know? Thanks.

You will find contents of the last round of this box in the whatcha got thread for it: here (link also posted a couple posts above yours...)

Anyhow, the model number of the speakers is listed on that thread.

Hey thingfling! Thanks for taking note of the AMB petition. Very Happy

Speakers: standard Altec Lansing 2.1 computer speakers, single input, strange connection for first speaker (with power switch) to the sub, it is a PS/2 port/plug, like for a keyboard. Works though, both speakers plug into the sub, the second uses standard 3.5mm jack to the back of the sub as does the plug from the first speaker to the audio out on PC or headphone jack of MP3 player, etc. They sound good, if you're expecting Bose quality, look elsewhere but for standard 2.1 (means left-right stereo with subwoofer for bass response) speaker system, it is okay. I would not say it is fully worth the price of the box, but the filler stuff makes up, the speakers look to be brand new.

I think everyone has listed filler stuff in boxes, I haven't read all of them, my extra item is a handspring Edge car charger. Anyone have one of those, I am willing to part with this, haven't found any takers at work and fam has no PDA's.

I mentioned MP3 player, many people don't realize you can do that with these type of speakers, just plug them into a MP3 player, portable CD, etc... any thing that has a headphone jack - and instant desk/table stereo system.

The speakers also have a headphone jack on the front that you can hook headphones up to (hmm, where might I find a set of earbud headphones???) in case you don't want the sound from your PC blaring forth from your new speakers.

I just brought a new PC home and didn't have a spare set of speakers, so this came in handy. Just FYI and to get the drool factor up, this PC has dual 24" widescreen LCD's hooked up to it - Holy Criminy, I have to open some more windows just to fill these beasts up!

I object to the almost mystery box. Those who didn't have to take the risk of not knowing what is in it now get it for the same price and those who took the risk? It should be at least $5 more, for sure.
I haven't even received my box yet. I'll wait for the almost box next time. Not a good way to reward the risk takers here. Not talking

I doubt they will be doing unmystery almost mystery boxes all the time. If they do, then yeah I could see your issue. This isn't the first time they've repeated a mystery box that was already sold and received in the past. There has been for a while the chance that you might get a reprieve to try again, but it is not guaranteed. Sure you could RISK sitting out on the first selling of a MB to see what everyone who bit early got and hope that you get a chance to score the second round, but that is a gamble since there isn't always a second round. The first go is a ticket to mystery and guarantee you can actually buy whatever it is. The second round is a gamble. As for ruining the mystery, well. Maybe TF should've had spoiler flashing all over the description title, but if you've gone so long avoiding the spoiling forum threads, I imagine the title should've rang some bells to stop reading immediately : " The Repeat of the $24.99 Unmystery Mystery Box OR
An ALMOST MYSTERY BOX "

Personally I think this is a good trend, so long as it doesn't became the course per norm on every single box, 'cause then, yeah, why bother to buy the first all mystery round?

First post and second Fling! Looking forward to the mystery items in the Almost Mystery Box!

And my first subwoofer! I usually get cheap speakers, or at least ones without a sub, because they usually cost a lot more than just the two speakers...

Interesting that these are still available... Maybe they have a lot of them? Think (Or at least a lot of the speakers and HDMI cables... and some filler junk laying around, like the cord winders...)

We'll see! Maybe I'll get blessed by the court on this one! (I like Seagate 750GB and TB SATA drives... Wink )

Mine shipped today... 10lbs like everyone else..

Here's the kicker.. I checked this morning it said estimated delivery 8/2.. I checked just a bit ago and now its 8/5... WTF!? Are we shipping Smartpost now? Smile

I was notified by TF today that they are now using SMARTPOST, the FEDEX/USPS abortion that increases my package delivery from 2-3 days using USPS to 8+ days to Atlanta.

I quit ordering from WOOT when that did the same thing.

This will be my last order at TF.
