This whole "Free item - just pay shipping" is pure hippopotamus $H|T! I bought 2 sets of the "Free" GE nightlight, then later got 2 sets of the "Free" power inverter. Altogether, it cost me $20. When I got the items, both orders were combined into 1 box. I'll say a conservative estimate to ship the box is $5 (most likely less given the volume discount TF gets and the light weight of the items). That means for $15, I got 12 night lights and 2 power inverters. That is definitely not a good deal in my book for dollar store lights/power inverters. I've already stayed away from the A/MB box, and now I see TF peddling more and more junk. To top it all off, they're charging more for it. I really do miss the old Thing Fling; it looks like all good things must come to an end.

If you want to pay $10 for nightlights go ahead, but I've got 36 COMPLETELY free since I was getting or had already gotten other stuff on that day. The excruciating magnitude of your philosophical confabulations are simply too voluminous for the diminuity of my comprehension. 22

Exactly my rationale for this. Though I thought of it really as paying $4 for 72 tubes of superglue since I was always going to get the MB (and thus pay $6 shipping no matter what). I thought for sure that they would wait to ship the glue so that they could pack it in the boxes of mystery.

They aren't as good as the more expensive stuff, but when you need to stick two things together at least semi-permanently they'll do the trick. One thing these aren't very good for is sealing small cuts. I've used super glue for some time now to stop bleeding and seal the wound, especially if I was working on the car or some other project that would require me to stick the wound right back into whatever caused it to start with. This stuff will eventually do the trick but it takes forever to dry and the bleeding keeps going until it does. Yeah, I know I'm a freak but I also know how to stop the bleeding. Nothing freakish about it at all...we use this stuff in the operating room all the time. It's sterile though (of course) and costs like 10 bucks for a tiny vial of it. Holds wounds together nicely. This stuff is made in China, and I wouldn't put anything made in China into my wounds. They're having enough trouble with ACTUAL pharmaceutical products being toxic. But everything's made in China these days! Seriously, I don't see how any kind of cyanoacrylate couldn't be sterile. There shouldn't be anything in the compound that would sustain life of any sort. At least on this planet...

72 sticks of SUPER GLUE for only $4.00 - that's a deal that even the dollar store can't beat with a huge stick.

Oh great Thing Flingers, I don't quite understand how this works (first time flinger). When I buy something and get charged $6 for shipping, is the next item going to be $4 shipping just for the next 24 hours or forever until I buy my next item? Some people said they got 72 glues for $4, but how is that possible since the order quantity limit is one per order?
Also, what is the mystery box and how much is it normally so I know to wait on getting that with my free shipping.
Thanks, and I'm happy to be here. The super glue has caused me to question my Woot! addiction...

To answer your first question, it is just until midnight that your next item's shipping will be $4 and anything after that is free. At midnight it resets back to $6 The mystery box is just that, a mystery. We don't know how much it's going to be. They range from $3.99 and just recently they had one for $123.45. It's just a wait and see kind of thing!. Good luck and welcome to flinging!

I was able to place two orders. I probably would have placed a third for another $4, but the shipping dropped down to "Free" which negated the offer.
First time customer here, and this deal is pretty nice. 72 of these tubes for $10. I find myself using super glue often. However, the tubes always dry up, so this last time I spent like $8 on a "gel" that did not dry up.
However, if I get 72 uses for $10, then I'm pretty happy!

i know, this is an OFF TOPIC reply! there's been several items in the past couple months that use CR2032 batteries. they're the button cell ones that went in the fm-xtras (hey, i might know someone who has a bunch of those and should list them in their e=store! hmmm) and more... if anyone has the need... you can find a pack of 10 at a good price at http://shop.tennesseebill.com i know, this looks like a shameless plug, but i bought a bunch to get a reasonable price, and now, i... i mean the person running that online shop... have (has) extra. the price is good, i, i mean the person with the shop, eats the shipping on them, so you can save even more... and i, (or is it them?) can take paypal (including credit cards) AND, my personal favorite, google checkout since it costs less per transaction! before anyone gets upset that i posted this here, i have spent a few hundred bucks here over the past three months or so, but not much lately because i am broke... maybe from spending so much here! bill and if anyone is interested in setting up their own little cybershop, let me know and i will give you a push in the right direction... at least i think it is! the place i use is free to list, easy to list, and no fees associated with sales or anything... and i don't make any money or anything off refering people... i just like to lend a hand whenever possible. just im me here. thanks for a moment of your time, and i won't make a habit of off topic posts! and now, back to our regularly scheduled flinging....bill
