After reading about everyone's experience with these, I decided to buy three.
I used my 3.33 coupons (from the ceelphone flashlight mystery box mess) and got all three for $6.00.
I just ordered from all-battery.com the following:
High capacity NiMH Rechargeable battery package: 24 AA 2600 mAh + 12 AAA 1000 mAh
I was able to get these shipped for under $30 (using coupon site posted earlier).
Under $36 total for three chargers, 24AA & 12AAA batteries is a steal.
With 2 kids and all their toys, as well as my cameras and MP3 players, I should be set for a long while.
Thanks for everyone's input here regarding the advice on the charger and the coupons for the batteries!!Very Happy

I'm glad I looked at this thread. I don't need any more chargers but the batteries I have are not the greatest to say the least. With the coupon codes for all-battery.com I also got the 36 battery deal (24AA and 12AAA) for under 30 bones. Thanks to those kind enough to post the info for everyone.

Mine still shows processing in the status but I received it yesterday.
Still took a while to ship.
Unit is a lot larger than I expected. I like the fact that it charges each battery individually. I started charging some of my cells (I keep them in sets of 4 always) and noticed some cells took longer than others in the set. I think this will keep them from discharging this way.

Funny, I just got an email today saying that it has shipped. (I received it yesterday.)

Curious how other peoples' batteries came out. I grabbed 3 of these (perfect for an international trip...cheap batteries/cheap charger capable of European currents...so if something goes 'poof!', no great loss).

BUT, I tested the batteries, which are getting a little old at this point. First test was REALLY bad (like 500mAh for them...supposedly rated to 1800), so after running a refresh cycle, I managed to get them to about 1500mAh. Anyone else have a BC-900 charger or similar that can test them? I've only run one package so far (refreshes take a long time)?

Finally got around to conducting a test similar to yours, between one of these Monster chargers, and my BC-900. So here it is"

I tested a Sony NiMH with a advertised rating of 2500mAh. I would say probably about a year old and used frequently.

Popped it into the BC-900, put it in test mode, with a drain of 250mAh and 500mAh charge. It tested to 2330mAh.

I then drained it by using it till it no longer worked in the usual device use it in (really high drain), because for 1) that is the condition it was before I tested it in the BC-900 as well and for 2) I was gonna use the discharge feature in the BC-900, but then realized the BC-900 auto charges after the discharge is finished, and I didn't want to sit around to pull it before the charge cycle started. So popped it into the monster charger and let it charge.

When the monster charge finished, I popped it into the BC-900 and put it in test mode. It tested to 2400mAh. which is such a small variance that I think if I repeated these tests over and over and did an average rating, the two chargers would come out about even on charging performance.

So I would say these monster charges perform very well indeed at just pure charging, and of course in a timely manner too. I use my BC-900 for conditioning as needed, and a slow charge rate when time is not of the essence, but I am happy to use the Monster when I just need a quick charge and my BC-900 is already occupied.

So if and when these come up again, and if anyone hasn't gotten them already... Get em if you can. You'll not find a better charger at a better price.

Sorry, I think I wrote up the review in the wrong section. The chargers I got came with batteries, and it was the batteries I was testing. The charger works just fine, and actually went on a trip with me to Italy since it (with an adapter) was able to handle the voltage over there. Chargers worked just fine, batteries were old, so a little below their original stated capacity, but I use them for quick charge up/high drain applications...like in a little desk fan I've got.

Ahh, you know I always did think your original statement sounded a little odd. Bad Grin No worries, I would've probably done this test anyway just to see how these Monster chargers compare to the glory that is the BC-900. (Favorably it would appear!)
