SOUND or Touch Activated - You get 6!!! This is a great touch light. Why? Because it is also sound activated. If it is in the touch position, simply touch to turn it on. To sound activate the light, merely, snap your fingers or say light on it will turn on. But it has a great feature. When it is sound activated it will only light in a dark area. In order to conserve the batteries, the touch light will not be sound activated in the light. Additionally, when it is sound activated, it will slowly dim until it extinguishes itself to reactivate just snap. But the best part is yet to come. We will send you 6 of these. They retail from between $4.99 - $6.99 a light - 6 would run you over $30.00. Put them in your hallway, on a table, in the bathroom, closet, etc, etc. Easy to mount. THING FLING's price for 6 of these is an $3.95 plus shipping.

I had gotten 2 of these as a Mystery Item, and I must say they are pretty bright. I ended up putting both of them up at my parents house. One in the stairs going to the basement, and the other in the back hall. Since the 2 I had never made it to my house, I am glad I got in on these.

I got a set of these with my MB number whatever I think II but anyway. Just to let yall know a bit more about them. Each takes 4 AA batteries so if you got those 36 rechargeables this might be a thing for you. The light output is not all I would have hoped. Maybe a 5w. It is an actual incandescent...one of those little round buggers that I used to have on my circa 1985 radio shack electronics kit. It would have been much cooler if they were LED but alas they are not.
I got a bit of a chance to play with one of mine. the sound recognition works well enough but I find that it starts dimming very soon after it hears the sound. I coulden't seem to get it to brighten up by making more sound. Further It barely lighted up my toilet unless I placed it directly above it pointing down. But in defense of the last statement I didn't have the middle of thed night eyes on at the time. I had just come from a lit room to play with one of my new toys. Also yuou do get 6 so maybe with 6 you can light up the area you need well enough.
Lastly and most disapointingly the quality of the construction is hmmm well how to describe it. It kinda feels like a something you might pick up at the dollar store. The plastic feels soft and general construction dosent feel very solid. I hate to end on the bad note so, maybe I will be able to repurpose the boards and make them work with LEDs or if I get really inventive somehow hook them as sound sensors into my security system... I have to wonder if the quary across the street setting off a charge would trip them.
Nuff said? Hope this helps. -K

Just an after thought on a positive note ... the dimming effect is pretty cool. When set to sound they light then over the course of about 20-30 seconds it slowly dims till its off. During those middle of the night bathroom runs get your stream aimed before it goes out

Just an update on my setup which seemed to work good for me. For the basement steps I put the light halfway down the stairs, and only up about 2 feet from the floor. Other lights cover the top and bottom, but there was a spot in the middle(3-4 steps) that would still be dark. This light just helps to keep the darker steps in the middle lit up.
The other one was mounted in the back hall, right next to the door knob. So if you leave for the evening and forget to leave a light on to unlock your door later at night, make a noise and you can see to unlock the house.
At first my Dad complained that he will just forget to shut it off, and that the batteries would just die. I showed him that by using the 'sound' that the light will turn off on its own.
I plan on putting mine in the 3 closets I have without lights.

I got these for the mystery box too. While the sound activation is pretty cool, it's too sensitive. Place it in a dark room and the slightest sound will trigger it. Also a little disappointed that the designer of this chose incandecent light bulbs over LEDs. LEDs would give it much muhc longer life spam.

I hope I got these in my MB like everyone else. I will get my box Monday, so I'll see how it works. Hope they work as well as some have stated. If they are great items, I'll pick some up the next time they are listed.

Note to the world: Don't use NiMH rechargeables in a light. Not these, not flashlights, none of 'em.
Left to themselves, NiMH batteries slowly drain the power, about 1%/day is the number I've heard, and you will suddenly find yourself without light just when you need it the most.
(I speak from experience, both from a light like these in our attic space, and from a flashlight left on the bedside... Click - nothing!)

When the King says to have five orders by Monday, is that five orders in at least a printed status? And each item flung, regardless of quantity, only counts as one order? Just bein' sure I have my flings in a row before Monday.

Are these the 'wired' kind, or are they wireless?

Wireless - above it says they take 4xAA batteries.
(I have a bunch of the kind where you tap them to turn them on, and like them quite a bit, but also as a result don't need these...)

I like them but I find they are not as bright as the ones that aren't sound activated.

Does each light come in it's own individual box or do they come in bulk?
Are they packaged nicely enough to give as gifts? Want a CHUBBY? Check out www.ChubbHubb.com
