The RCA HPNC250 Noise Canceling Headset eliminates external noise up to 12dB making it ideal for traveling to block out sounds.  These headphones are lightweight and made for comfort.  The high performance 30mm drivers provide super bass sound.  Includes soft-cushioned ear pads with adjustable headband along with a3.5mm L-shape stereo plug. Retails for at least $21.00 plus shipping. At THING FLING you fling one per $3.99 plus shipping... a low, low shipping.

I got these a while ago as part of a mystery box. They work in as much as you flip the little switch, and the extraneous noise is reduced. You still pick up people speaking and the like however. They do have great sound for the price, and one AAA battery lasts quite a while. On a sort of side note, they can fit a fairly large dome if you're cursed with one like I am...

I think the mystery ones were much better quality. Plus these are listed as being "used", not just refurbished. No thanks. No used headphones for me.

I also dislike how TF compares their price of $3.99 (used) to other places prices of $22 (new ones, I checked) . If TF wants to compare prices, they really should compare prices of items in the same condition.

What I would like to know is " Where do you get a bunch of used headphones from?"

My guess Idea would be from the manufacturer or a major retailer who got them as returns, or possibly from an industrial user that was using a "boatload" of them and has now upgraded to a superior product.

I currently have a pair of these and they seem to work as well as the $50 headphones from Philips and Panasonic do, even if the comfort level is lower, (I have both of these too), but not as well as Sony and Bose, that both cost a whole lot more. Exclamation

I think I'm in for three, or maybe even six, since people keep asking to borrow my noise canceling phones now that the airlines no longer supply earphones free in coach. If they break these, I won't cry near as long as I would over my high priced pair. Dancing
