Thanks, Lady Fling! I was ready to pick these up and I had to referee the kids. Once I returned, they were gone. Sad Hopefully, they will return.

It would be useful to have a 2-line phone occasionally, especially a cordless phone such as the one offered here.

Good price for DECT 6.0 phones. Did some research and there were mixed reviews.

Flung one.....guess I'll wait to see if I got a lemon or a pearl. Pray

Nope, although Thing Fling does tend to bring the items around more than once. Look at the " Upcoming Flings " on the home page. ( It is on the right side about halfway down. ) once in awhile over the next week or 2. Hopefully, you will find them again.

These will be back up in no time. I think it's been up like 3 or 4 times already prior to today.

They're back!! Anyroad... FYI I got my 2 sets that I had ordered. Set up one set; awesome functionalities for the price. The only gripe I have is the volume on the handset speakerphone. Its not on the base station but on the back of the handset which accomodates a smallish speaker. Might be ok for a relatively quiet house; but with the TV on or kids around, u might need to get off the speakerphone mode.

my 2 cents...

Applause What a steal!!! I purchased the two handset package from Walmart this weekend $73 bucks, It will be going back tonight when I get home. The phone work's GREAT and Sounds SUPER Clean. Information transfer between handset. You can send phonebook contact and phone setting to all the other handset. $55.95 a steal

I just bought this. I hope someone can answer a question for me. If someone answers the phone on one of these and it is for someone else, can they pick it up on another receiver without having to have a conference thingy on?

No, I think you have to toggle the conference mode on the phone.

From page 26 of the User Manual found here: http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/c/cd4454q_37/cd4454q_37_dfu_aen.pdf

5.7.12 How to set conference mode on/off

When conference mode is activated, you can initiate a three-party conference call with a second handset registered to your base station automatically if the second handset takes the line when there is already an external call in progress.

According to the specs, the default mode is off. It's on page 35 of the manual.
