I tried this survey the first time and it didn't offer me an opportunity to participate. I think it's because I said I had a tassimo system. I really kinda wanted this for work, so I tried again and poof--it let me go.

I like single serve coffee systems. When the new tassimo comes out, I'll be first in line.

WOW! I put my order in monday, received it today. FAST.

Only problem is... this thing is too expensive for me to use regularly. I like my coffee relatively weak so used 1 pod to do a double cup (which is actually 1 regular sized mug) and it was tea-weak. I'll give it one more try, but at $0.35 a pod its not really worth it maybe.

Then you should get one of those filter adapters that you can use your own coffee with!! Walmart has them.

Where in Walmart? I was in 2 different wally's looking for something to use in the senseo and I didn't find anything. Also if you want you can buy these on ebay for about 25 shipped if you dont want to commit fraud and get more than 1 shipped to your casa.

Fraud? That's a bit harsh. I've been doing offers like this for years, and have discussed it with an attorney. To be fraud you must misrepresent yourself in some way. As long as you use your real name, real credit card number, real address, real information in general, and don't sign something certifying that you haven't taken part in the offer before, you're not committing fraud. You ARE taking advantage of a known loophole in their system, but that's not the same thing as fraud.

Do a search on Ebau for "senseo filter" and you'll see plenty of the permanent filters for sale.

You say Tomato. OK, so you take advantage of a known loophole, does that make you any less of a scumbag?

"Fraud" is a legal term, and has specific elements that must be proven in a court of law. Furthermore, if you accuse someone of fraud, or even throw the term around loosely, you are potentially setting yourself up for one hell of a defamation of character lawsuit, which is why I draw the distinction. When I DO use the term "fraud," I do so advisedly.

I never made any ethical claims about trying to claim multiple machines. Just said it wasn't illegal. Like anything else, that's between yourself and your Higher Power. I'm not selling them, so my conscience is clear. If you think I'm a "scumbag" because of it, that strikes me as your problem.

I try not to take advantage of the Senseo program. And a great ideal/idea by a major company. So I wish it to be long lived and others may do similar things. A question of karma comes in play here. In my opinion there is not much harm in regifting what you receive, as I think it still plays with the spirit of the share senseo promotion. And indeed not only does it get the product further out there, but also increases revenue on the true money maker, the pods.

My thoughts exactly.

But there are those who get the machine and then turn around and ebay them, whether intended from the get go or after they decided they didn't like it. This is just a question of morales and ethics and everyone will hold themselves up to their own measure, but it is in my opinion bad form and yes bad karma. If you don't like it, I say just pass it on.

Yeah...well, like I said, that's between you and your Higher Power. If you're comfortable doing what you're planning on doing with it, I don't think it's any of my business to disparage you. Call it karma or divine judgement, or a plain old guilty conscience, doing the wrong thing will eventually come back to bite you in the gluteus maximus.

ya, it's available on amazon.fr for like 177 euros, or something. I'd be soooooo tempted to try to get it, but my luck the power requirements would screw me, and I'd end up just staring at it on the counter, then going to my older, working model and making a beverage.

I guess I'll just have to wait six more months.

My senseo, however, should be here tomorrow.

I haven't seriously looked for the permanent filter yet... its just the 2 of us and its relatively easy to brew 2 cups of coffee on the weekends and I don't have to tap and rinse out some messy mesh filter to do it.

My fiancee likes the senseo for instant hot water for her tea though (though you can use a microwave pretty fast too)... so... kinda meh on the whole thing. BUT I'm considering bringing it to work with assorted coffee flavors and an honor jar. Like $0.50 for a pod is pretty reasonable, right?

PS its kinda funny... if you read the documentation bonus package that comes with the Senseo it actually has tips on how you should try to sell the machine for them. IE bring it up in conversation, then show them how its done, then let them try it themselves, then hand them the $20 off coupon.

The Senseo offer is back. (Free Machine and extras with $15 shipping) here is the link: https://www.sharesenseo.com/q5/1.jsp

I have gotten this thru this offer. Take survey, answer no to question 2 and "I don't own a single serve coffee maker" to question 3.

I got one, Thanks! I have never even noticed this thread or the banner before. I was able to get one yesterday and I am so excited. It is perfect for me as I am the only adult in my home and usually don't bother making coffee. Now, I won't have to run to Starbucks when I want a cup of coffee.

The thread is old, I don't even know if they run the ad anymore. I saw it again on my deals forum and knew flingers like a good deal as well as the next guy. I got one for me and one for my mom last time they were up. I too am the only one in the family that drinks coffee. I think you may be able to get tea pods for it too and someone else mentioned that you can just use it empty for hot water for hot chocolate or those noodle cups. I may have to order another for work. I hope you enjoy it! Greek

They DO make tea pods!! When I first got mine, I was the only one that drank coffee here. BUT when they saw this, they ALL wanted coffee Mad Rolling Eyes Think

So we use ours quite a bit!! I bought the adapter thing that let's you use your own coffee too. I guess they discontinued those for some reason...but I had found one in a clearance bin and sent it to Vee Laughing Laughing
