I have to say that Thing Fing is the best for the Mystery boxes. I was lucky once with Woot and only go there once in awhile to see what is posted, I have no time to stay up for 3 days on their Woot off waiting to see if an Item I may want shows up. I work a regular job so my sleep time is valuable to me. I did have some very unpleasant experiences with another company and I will warn u about them do not buy from Deadlydeal.com I was buying before I got started on TF and it's a waste of money, u would think they would want customers. their $25.00 mystery boxes contained 5 items which had a value of less than $5.00 as they used promo items and free stuff anyone can get. I commend TF for an outstanding job in putting together the MB's. I have been happy in each one. Keep up the good work.

Well, I can somewhat agree with the previous posts. the MB's are certainly....worth the money you blow on them monetarily. However, in usability (sp?), they leave a lot to be desired. I know I know... that's why they're a mystery! lol. Seriously though, how many people out there truly need 80 cell phone lights? (half of which, the damn batteries are dead!!) or 8 poker watches, or 8 fold up PDA keyboards at a whack????? oh and OMG... all the fricken useless CABLES! yeah I know, no one forces us to buy them. Its the "luck of the draw" as to what we get, blah blah blah. As for myself, I'll stick to Woot! At least with them, they offer other nice things on a regular basis. Who knows, maybe when TF actually puts worthwhile items in their MBs, I'll buy one again. Peace! I'm out!

Would you people stop complaining about the Infamous 9.99 MB?! I mean c'mon, they screwed up. Then they gave everyone some coupons and some "I owe you's". Either way, it's a MB, and you're buying it for the gambling fun - the items are just a HUGE plus. I just bought this past video game MB without owning a PS3. With that in mind, I'll probably be giving away most of the stuff in there, but that's cool with me.

I have to say it has become quite amusing to me that people still reference the cell phone lights and poker watches of the infamous $9.99 box as an example of ThingFling's MB style. But there are a few things they always neglect to mention: 1. That box was a flop, and even thingfling admits it, and apologized for it in words, actions, gestures, and gifts. 2. That they received a $3.33 coupon for every box of the infamous they purchased, which TF also made stackable with one another. 3. That they received in the mail an apologetic letter along with musical greeting cards. 4. That they also received a "we owe ya one" gift set absolutely free via mail from TF with the screwdriver/ratchet set and another goodie. 5. That there has been COUNTLESS mystery boxes since April for which the vast majority were extremely happy with the contents. and finally 6. It was proven and shown in a few threads from the era, that the vast majority of cell phone lights do in fact actually work IF you first put them on a hard surface before pressing. The lights do not have a hard backing, and do not usually light or light properly when just holding it in the hand. Try taking a couple out of their packages and putting them back to back, it'll probably work, and you'll have a nice small flashlight. So anyway, yes yes no one liked that box. TF doesn't like it now either. IT was bas in April and TF has moved on from it, as many have, and you guys should too!

First, I have to agree with Scared here.....It was ONE screw up!! I know i know...you're only as good as you last performance, but IF ya'll had given TF the benifit of doubt and flung just ONE more time....your LAST performance wouldn't be such a sour taste in your mouth!! Now, as for what goatfarmer was TRYING to say... ...I occasionally buy from other sites...not like a lot of you do, but occasionally. SO FAR I have been lucky to have had only GOOD experiences from these other sites ..but I DO read their forums too. They ALL have had bad things happen. So the $9.99 box was nothing new as far as bad flinging. TF has ALWAYS done right for their customers in my eyes. They have gone out of their way on more than one occasion to help out a Flinger. I don't SEE that in the forums of these other sites...ever! So ThingFling...Just keep doing what you're doing!!! 45 Flings Flung and WAAY more to come!Female in case you don't know LMAO

I buy from a few sites and have never had a complaint from any so I can't say anything about customer service except for the repercussions from the dreaded $9.99 MB. In my eyes TF made an overwhelming apology to the point where there was almost too much making up for it. I know that not everyone wanted the items they gave away in their apology (apologies actually) but they went far out of their way to make it known they knew the masses were displeased. As far as my experiences with DOD sites in general. They are all different because of one factor only. They have different niches because they deal with different companies to obtain items. I sometimes buy from woot. But only because they have items that only woot has (at least at liquidation prices). So from what I see it's all about what niche you want to be in when you pick a favorite. For me....I'm a gambling man and TF has mysteries on a regular basis and I have yet to be disappointed (I actually love the eight million lights from the $9.99 MB, PM me if you want to hear any of my ideas for using them) so thanks for saving a niche for me TF!

had a package come from a diffent dod site that came empty per usps saying they got it that way. I emailed that dod site and they said they would get back to me and never did, so I have never done and biz there again. But here I ordered 20 earbuds here and only 10 came and I emailed TF and they sent the other 10 with no problems at all. TF does try to do the right thing.

Yeah, by far, TF is the best place to go for the MBs, price notwithstanding. Personally, I thought the infamous $9.99 MB wasn't that bad, tbh. www.marissasbunny.comAn epic tale of an infant with a serious disease

I was apart of the 9.99 Mystery Box Tragedy too... but like the few who've posted before me have said, it wasn't the sole basis for my perception of thingfling as a company... they went above and beyond to make it up, and in the end we got our money out of it. I've coincidentally not flung any goodies from TF since then (I believe the sunglasses were my last), but that doesn't mean I WON'T fling again.. I just am a poor bastard at the moment and can't. Seriously though I agree with the OP... TF is awesome and they continue to provide customer service to their customers.
Oh P.S. -- I do a fair share of shopping at other sites, as well... and every site I've ever shopped from whether it be stootsi.com/woot.com/thingfling.com... they've always seemed to rectify wrongs whenever they occur. I was also involved in the huge Altec Lansing Zune speaker dock fiasco on woot where they sold items they hadn't actually gotten in stock yet... then an ice storm further delayed the product; however, in the end they upgraded our shipping to next day with fedex and made it right. These types of companies KNOW that they rely on us... if the customers aren't happy they aren't doing any business, and they always will want business. My 2cents. <3 TF.
