I think there have been a few wacky Wednesday promotions so it is hard to say which one is being referred to, but the one that I recall, knew, and loved, and always hoped would return, worked like this: All throughout the day there was a rapidly changing lineup of items. Stuff with an hour as the max time frame I think. But whoever flung an item first when it first appeared on the site, won the item for free. It was a lot of fun. I got a pair of free shower radios back in that day. Basically the following day they published a list of the winners, and you were refunded your money if you won. Well I THINK that was a Wacky Wednesday, I could be confusing another day, but either way bring back fun days like that!

Well I THINK that was a Wacky Wednesday, I could be confusing another day, but either way bring back fun days like that! Sounds good to me! Wacky Wednesday gets my vote.

I was slightly wrong. The winners of Wacky Wednesday got the item for 99 cents shipped--might as well have been free. Wacky Wednesday winners list from back in the day.

Hey Justgart! heh. I just realized the original post was from you. All, this is justgart. My old arch-nemesis from the crazy 99 cent items day. He was crown champion of the original Wacky Wednesday if you glance over the winners list.

But these $0.99 flings are items sold on TF for more than $20 (like the Auvi Electronics WBT121 Bluetooth Headset & PC Adaptor I got as part of the $0.99 Thing Fling). They would only have 2 to 5 (probably 10 at the most) of these $0.99 items, and its first come first serve. Once all 10 items have been snatched up, they move on to the next item. I believe you havent experienced Thing Fling until you experience a Wacky Wednesdays at Thing Fling. The best part - the $0.99 items are shipped free.

Are you sure though? i think Wacky Wednesday the original was as I said, and then coming off its heels TF rolled out the rolling 99 cent mystery item that would work as you said. It'd pop up a couple times a day with only ten quantity, etc. I have way too many 64mb compact flash cards I haven't even cracked open from that one.  But fun nonetheless, and insane, anyone that only arrived here after xmas has no idea of the 99 cent mystery item madness. It was like trying to grab a BOC, they'd sell out in seconds, and most of the time the site would come to a screeching hault. Bring back Wacky Wednesday please! and yes justgart, I got some nice stuff from those promos, but not the very big ticket items that were dished out on the original Wacky wednesday.

You are probably right as I wasnt around for the first few Wacky Wednesdays. I hope they bring it back. Please bring it back. Please, please, pretty please.
