I could be wrong but wouldn't they replace the parts that come in contact with the skin during refurbishment?

Do they? That'd be great if it's true. I'm still more inclined to think it's a return than a refurb, but I've just decided, I don't care! Laughing

I'm going to try some isopropyl alcohol and forget about a conditioner. If it dries it out and ruins it, no big loss. It was only $42 for 72 3oz bottles of superglue, PS2 controller, weather station, and a 12CD wallet without the headphones.

Just seeing these things sitting here going unused is making me ancy. I want to try these out bad Laughing

Nolvasan , a germicidal/anti microbial usually found in pet stores or in feed stores is a great way to rid germs on items(it is what the Veterinarians use on your pet pre surgical and post surgical for flushing wounds). It might be a bit expensive though, but a good thing to have around the house.

Ah! Thanks for that. It looks like they make a human variant of that too with less of the active ingredient and about the same isopropanol content. MSDS seems like even the pet one is relatively safe too, although the "inert" ingredient is not controlled in the pet one (distilled water for the human one). Very cool! I'll have to ask about that the next time I'm at the pharmacy or the doctor's office.

I'll definitely keep that in mind for the future Smile

Well, I used up a LOT of alcohol and it doesn't appear to have dried it out Surprised

I would advise everyone to check over theirs. Mine was definitely a return. There was dandruff! Sick in the inside of the cup back where it's hard to clean Sick Sick Sick

I must have spent 30mins going over it again and again with alcohol. Laughing

While the "noise-canceling" part sucks (it seems to work by killing all bass, which includes the music), they are comfortable and surround your ear, which seems to do MUCH more to mute outside noises than the active noise-canceling does. With the noise-canceling part off, they sound awesome- much better than the Audio90's I've been using for years.

Thanks TF. While I personally find the condition disgusting, I was able to sanitize it to my satisfaction and they sound great! Dancing
