The excruciating magnitude of your philosophical confabulations are simply too voluminous for the diminuity of my comprehension.

Nah, nothing wrong with that Bad Grin Bad Grin

My kids love strawberry margaritas... virgin, of course....

Except for those very rare occasions when they're way overtired, then just a little splash of rum in the big pitcher to, ahem, help them fall asleep Shhh Shhh Shhh

When I was a kid (long ago), my dad worked for Anheiser Busch in sales. He came home every day with bottles of alcohol that were "thank yous" from all the bars he sold to. Our pantry was FILLED with every type of alcohol, and different levels of fullness.

Now back then, parents could/would leave their kids home alone. My parents went dancing many nights a week, and us four kids would have fun tasting the cool bottles of stuff in the pantry and of course we'd pass out. I think my mom would be shocked to know how much we drank and that we weren't just good kids who went to bed as told.

Do I really think my dad was the only one who had clear Black Velvet? The empty Vodka bottles were easier to 'fix' with water, you couldn't tell the difference in colorBad Grin Bad Grin But alas, times were different back then, when the drinking age was 18. I was being served in bars when I was 14, my sister WAS over 18 and always got proofed and I never did, she still hasn't forgiven me for that.Shame on you Shame on you Anxious Anxious It's funny now, I basically quit drinking when I got old enough to do it legally. Laughing Laughing I have a few now and then, but nothing like I did way back.

Same with me, I quit drinking when I was legal to do it. I only have a drink if I go to a wedding, and that is rare. Times were much different back then. When I was 16, all of my coworkers went to the bar on Friday nights but I was the only one underage. One of the girls was dating a Chicago cop, and every Friday he'd come and get me (he was in uniform) and take me to the bar. I never got carded or questioned after entering with a cop and having him buy me a drink. Years later, I was working in an office building and one of the security guards looked familiar - there was my bar cop who was moonlighting as a guard. He said he could never get away with escorting a minor into a bar these days.

Wow, how'd this thread get so off topic?
