For hookup of electronic components to AC power providing surge protection for AC power line and DSS or Cable TV. You can't top Monster Cable. The surge (MP HT 700) has an 1850 joule rating and features 5 color coded and labeled outlets, plus an additional 3 spaced used for block adapters, 2 coax connections, an 8-foot Monster AC power cable with a flat profile right angle plug provide flexibility and status indicator lights. Plus its Monster Cable - the brand name synonymous with excellence and quality. By using this surge not only are you guarding against power fluctuations you are preventing the proliferation of the pollutants that affect your entertainment components. A cleaner signal (clean power) means better sound and picture quality.

The least I've seen this item on the internet is $39.99 plus $10.99 shipping or over $50.

Thing Fling one and only price - $18.99.

Its nice, but at this price, I'd pass. I got one when they were first offered here for 16 and some change shipped.

I'd stay away from this one as it is probably defective like the items they sent out in the Mystery boxes!

This is a good surge protector, but not better than a $15 one that you can get at Target or Walmart. Monster has the philosophy that if you price something very high, people will think it's better than a cheaper brand. That's not true of course. I'd pass on this one.

The "power sentry" listed as coming up next is a MUCH better unit! I'm gonna get one of those myself.

Anyone purchase one of these earlier? Are they all the condition like in the picture? I need one of these, but the one they took a picture of looks all beat up.
The excruciating magnitude of your philosophical confabulations are simply too voluminous for the diminuity of my comprehension.

Very doubtful it would be bad.

I got one of these in MB, it is in pristine condition and works fine, not defective either.
Hope that helps
