Has anybody used this monitor that picked it up from the last time it was flung? We use something similar to this at work for planned strenuous work, but we have to apply a conducting gel onto the monitor to ensure proper readings. Does this brand recommend a gel, too?

This one suggests water. I've been sick so haven't gotten to really use it much (for biking and hiking), but my first test of it showed it to work fairly well, although the interface could be more intuitive (the manual DOES guide you through it). A second test recently, it didn't work well, but haven't had time to complete troubleshooting (such as checking battery levels). Flings flung: Too many to list at this point
