Personally I hate Shnoop.com They delete posts that link the item they are trying to pawn off.

Ive been hating on the shnoop forums for selling garbage and they banned my account!Bad Grin

I made another one and ordered the march 1cent box but then they called me and said they are cancelling my order because they ONLY WANT HAPPY CUSTOMERS! watch out for this place. They just want to take your money. you will not be pleased with this place. Stick with THINGFLINGApplause Applause and Woot.

Dont shop at shnoop

Ordered a mystery special from them a while ago and it really was a bag of crap, it was supposed to be three items and they sent me 2, a superman pen and a broken toy (the toy was in two pieces, so maybe they did send me three items.)

I'm sure there are quite a few DOD sites but I only know and go to 2. I started going to woot last summer and then someone on the boards posted about thingfling, and the rest is historyDancing

Not generally a deal-of-the-day site, but Polsteins Home and Beyond did a couple of days of Mystery Boxes, indicating in their descriptions that they would contain random items that they caerried, stock overruns, etc. Instead, they shipped a bunch of dollar store cr@p worth about $5 total (after charging, I think $10+shipping for the boxes), much of it broken or hazardous (e.g. badly leaking batteries).

They got such a resounding amount of bad publicity, they publicly announced that they learned their lesson, and the NEXT box would contain better items like they promised. Next round, they sent out about $6 worth of dollar store cr@p. Lots of unhappy people. I still won't buy anything from their regular store either for the way they treated all those customers.

The ones that I hate list items and drop ship them from DealExtreme or similar companies. Drives me crazy to see them advertising items at what they claim are great prices, then indicate that it will take 6-8 weeks for delivery, but you get free shipping!

It's one thing to get ahold of a bunch of the stuff and offer it for sale...it's another to me to do nothing more than order it for someone and charge them for it. Not quite sure why it bugs me so much, but it just seems a little dishonest.

I do get the occasional laugh when they list an item that's illegal in this country, like cell phone jammers. The fines alone just for OFFERING to sell it would likely have put them out of business had they been discovered.

This topic is great. Thanks for the warnings about Shnoop. I've only ever ordered from here, Tanga, and Woot. And I've found all three to be good DoD sites, but this one is unique in that there's a definite feeling like the King, Queen, Shaggy and the rest of the court really listen to what the community says. It's very appealing.

I've never had a problem ordering from Shnoop, but thanks for the heads up. I think their shipping is a little expensive.

I wish ThingFling wasn't changing their policies on shipping. If the freight charge were included in every item ordered, then it should be left alone. Give away discount coupons for multiple orders. I don't like change very much. I'll still visit the ThingFliing site, but I hope everything will be spelled out clearly. I did not understand that newsletterEmbarassed Anxious It confuses me with all of those numbers

I'm not too impressed with Deadly Deal - I won a contest on 12/23/07, and I STILL have not received my prize!! For that reason, I haven't bought anything from them either for fear that I won't receive the product, and will lose my money to boot!! I've sent several emails, and made several posts on their forum - but to no avail. I'm done with them....Brick wall

Thing Fling has been my one and only ever since I laid eyes on this place. I lurked here for months before I really did my first FLing, I didnt even register untill I did the VMB, just sat and watched what was going on here. Upon reading about the Wootalyzer, I clicked a link posted and downloaded it. I hate it! And I dont like the other D.O.D.'s at all. I am a loyal Thing FlingerThink Wink Very Happy

Well, I came in to proclaim Shnoop to be the turd that it is, but it looks like you all beat me to it.

I will say however, that with what I think was my second order from them they found out that the item they were selling was defective and immediately made it right. I didn't get what I wanted even though I did get the three items I ordered (all unusable) but they quickly refunded my money. Based off of that, I may give them a final chance, but that remains to be seen. It will just come down to whether or not they offer something that is appealing enough that I'm willing to take a gamble.
I think it will be a miracle if I ever consider them for a mystery box again though. That was my first experience with them, and it was a disaster. They may as well have dropped a flaming bag of poo on my porch, but that would have been more entertaining.

Definitely have a lot of love for ThingFling though.
