If you click on the picture, it shows the smaller inverter. Which is it?

What he said. But the description talks about the one in the front page picture while the mini picture blown up doesn't match at all. 1 outlet, 80watts power. So yeah, it has to be the big one.

ThingFling really needs to watch their descriptions and pictures better. Third time the last couple days something has had wrong information be it description or prices don't match up to what it says and what it charges. Don't sell yourself short! Shame on you

ThingFling is still great though! Dancing

Saw this item and instantly logged in, to purchase one.

Then clicked the pic to see enlarged view. Saw the little inverter and changed my mind.

If I hadn't noticed "80W/150W peak" in the package text, ThingFling would'a lost a sale.

Fortunately, I DID notice and am sure we are getting the item shown on homepage, NOT the one shown in enlarged.

Is this enough to run a laptop in the car for a few hours or should I get a more powerful one?

Did lose a sale I need new one but I'm not going to buy something that's not listed correctly...Widget showed small one, web page showed larger... certainly don't want to have to get into back forth to correct things...

Get it right or don't sell itEvil or Very Mad

My first ThingFling, yippee.

This will be ideal for travel this holiday season. Last year we bought a dual-screen portable DVD player, well the player part junked out (typical), but the 2nd screen is just fine. So, going to hook the 2nd screen to a stand-alone DVD player, which will be just fine for this application.

Or, just keep the laptop plugged in watching movies, either way. Smile

I ordered two, and finally just received them today. The packaging on both is all busted up and in bad shape. It looks like this is damaged merchandise, like they have also gotten wet perhaps.. packaging is all scratched up also. This is only the second time I have ordered from ThingFling.. have others experienced something like this? Should i send these back? Is this a standard practice that FlingThing sells damaged merchandise and that is why the prices are good? I'd really appreciate any help!! Thanks!!

TF sells mainly closeout items. Since they are buying closeouts from various companies to resell, sometimes there is damaged packaging. However, the products should be just fine. If there is a problem with the item, just open a HelpDesk ticket and they will make things right.

Since you said it looks like these have gotten wet and since you plug them directly into a power source, I would open a HelpDesk ticket if I were you since water and electricity don't quite get along.

Thanks for your reply... I did put in a ticket and they just sent me an email saying I could send them back... at my expense!! I don't like that.... I think they were busted up to begin with... they say they are putting in a ticket with UPS... hard to really tell if they are water damaged... just can't really believe the packaging got that damaged shipping to me.. although i have to say the way they packaged it was a joke. I might try them to see if they work if they are going to screw me out of the postage.. probably cost me over $10 to ship them back.. if they don't make it right, I doubt i'll be back... too bad, because I thought they were going to be legit.

I bought this same product from another DOTD website and it works well. I use it to power RC controller flight equipment (video stuff, ...)

Hope it helps Smile

It seems this is standard for them - I received a speaker that was not working and ended up paying $21.00 in shipping charges and got only - Sorry we refunded the item cost - rules are rules - you got screwed. There is nothing you can do but spend more money sending it back - pay the return cost - and risk getting nothing in return or keeping it and see if you can get it fixed. I will bet if you return it all you will get is a refund of the item cost - NO shipping. Did it cost enough to return it and get some money back? You are going to get screwed anyway you look at it.

You're not supposed to leave inverters plugged in for any length of time when the car is off...
The excruciating magnitude of your philosophical confabulations are simply too voluminous for the diminuity of my comprehension.
