 Restores Audio + Video Performance
For those of you who did not want to "break loose" for the power DVD repair kit, we present the Maxell DVD-335 DVD Scratch Repair Kit. The kit removes minor scratching, eliminates skipping and audio/video loess. This is great for minor imperfections and scratches. The least I have seen it for on the web is $4.99 and $4.99 shipping or a $9.98 cost to you. THING FLING cost is $0.99.

I'm in for one. I had bought the blockbuster one for $7. It works pretty good, I would think this one is better since you get two bottles and wipes. 44 flung - Wheeee!!!!

I've used similar products at friends houses. They worked pretty well. So I'm in for one.

Not sure if this is a dumb question or not...but...does this work on CDs as well? Seems like it should, but I haven't ever used one of these. Anybody?

For single layer DVD-5 media as well as CD/CDR +- media I simply use a black sharpie on the writable area above the scratch. I'll fling because for DVD-9 media ... And sometimes I can not read the CD from the sharpie

So, did anyone try this on sunlasses or watches yet? and what about front loader washers and dryers? I'm ruminating on plastic scratched surfaces in my house! Does anyone know offhand what type of plastic is used for cd/dvd's? edit answered my own question. see Polycarbonatearticle tells what type of chemicals (cleaners) can damage media. frequently used for sunglasses

Tried using one of these kits on many cd's just a few days ago that had "minor" scratches, with no luck. So I wouldn't call these disk repair kits, they are more like disk cleaning kits. Maybe others have had better luck than me so I'm just telling you just not to expect something fantastic. lol Approaching 75 things flung and breathlessly awaiting a shagging!
