Wow another free item (yes, we know $6 s/h. Hey! At least we are
clear about it.)

Here is the deal you get a Free Official World Poker Tour
Playing Cards and we’ll throw you a poker watch along with it.

Is that enough? No!

What about a $5 off coupon with each purchase? Would that be
enough? Please say yes!

NOTE: Poker watch is Brand New bulk packaged.

We are running on an Inventory Diet and these indigestive
watches are giving us a warehouse burn. So we have taken some anti-acid for
relief with fast acting turn around.

Now the Doctor said we should not have this anymore since it
caused such a bad explosion on our internal system.

ThingFling humbly enough turns to our community for help. There is only a few of them (NOT!)

And on the psychological side of the situation the fastest
we can move them the fastest you will not see them again, how’s that?

hahahahahaha Poker watches... omg I still have the 4 from the mystery box gone bad lol.

A poker watch is a watch...wait for it... that you can play poker on Dancing

they are actually rather cool sets.. I am thinking of giving mine out for christmas gifts because last time I knew they were going for 99 cents for 2 I believe on ebay.. and that was only 1 bid lol.

I actually thought about flinging this just for the coupon but we are moving & I wont have internet for a while (or anything else because we will be totally broke for the first 6 months lol) SO A coupon would do me no good Sad

Let's try to be fair to TF here. They've got tons of stuff that got a somewhat chilly reception (to put it delicately) Which they got at a good liquidation price because the original distributor likewise got a chilly reception. But then that's probably how 95% of the things became flings in the first place.

TF also isn't about to stuff these into mystery boxes. Regular mystery box + 20 poker watches + letter saying you got shagged = excitement! Just not the kind the Royal Court ever wants to see again. So they've decided to give you 1 for $6 + a $5 coupon (net cost: $1) or 2 for $10 and 2 $5 coupons (net cost: Free) They still end up eating the cost of the watches, but at least have the expectation of having your business for at least another fling or two.

However, ordering 500 more poker watches, and expecting TF to not only ship them free but give you 500 more $5 off coupons might have seemed like a viable business model in 1999 at the height of the dot.com boom, but somewhere in the intervening years some folks have figured out that this is a highly effective strategy for losing your shirt.

As you can see from my sig, the Infamous mystery box was my very first fling. So yep, I got the watches. Three instead of four being for a Newb at the time, Newb's also got two ilo mp3 players instead of that power strip/CD case thingamabob, and we all got oodles of cell phone lites.

The one watch I tried playing with seemed to work just fine, though far more trouble than it was worth. I thought I already summed up why tossing them into a mystery box as an uncounted item probably isn't such a hot idea. I also explained that TF is eating the cost.

They are distributing them for us to find a way to unload them rather than having to pay to have them dumped straight into a landfill. So two decks of cards (possibly 3 or 4) along with two watches you'd never be caught dead wearing, and if you don't get extra decks of cards, you'll have keychain(s) and/or coaster(s) to regift to all your poker buddies. LOL

You're right! It's for the cards! PLUS as a bonus..Free poker watch!

Even if it was for the poker watch..it's still a good deal for the battery inside alone! Look what the battery in the watch is http://www.radioshack.co...attery--pi-2062104.html

I have six of these watches from my MB's that I got...I don't use the watches..but I need those batteries inside them..when I remove a battery to use..I toss the watch..that's all. You'd be surprised how many items you might have that need those special batteries. If anyone uses Toll Roads and has one of those transponders in their car, those take these batteries..I just replaced mine with one of these batteries. Also some remote controls take these batteries...I just replaced it in one of my little remotes for my little office TV on my desk. I've seen car stereos with remotes (my kids have them) I bet those remotes have these batteries since they're so small. So forget the fact that you don't need the watch..but remember..you will eventually need that FREE battery that will come with the FREE watch!

Not a bad deal..and you get a $5 coupon with each order so first order will in reality cost you only $1 for the cards and watch battery..after that they are paying you to take them off their hands since shipping will then be $4 and then Free!

out of curiosity..what's up with the remote controls for car stereos? Are we getting so lazy tht we can't reach 4" further to reach the buttons ON the radio these days?

I have one for the stereo in my truck. I used it the other day when I was outside building a new storage building. I run a DJ service and I had put in a disc with a bunch of mp3s on it that I needed to make sure were ok lyrically to play at a school dance. I discovered I could skip tracks while working without having to go to the truck. That being said, I've had this stereo for about 18 months and that was the first time I've ever used the remote.

$1 for a nice set of cards isn't bad. (It's not clear is a "set" is one deck or two...). Two sets for free is an even better deal.

(And I've got my $3 coupon for submitting a review. Too bad the $10 is split into two orders, so I can't use a flare coupon.)
