Hold my horses? I recieved an email from your help desk telling me my order is canceled and I will be charged $5. That is kinda clear to me. A lot clearer than the product I ordered.

Just as a side note: You submitted a ticket asking to cancel your order and the Help Desk replied informing you your request was processed. The product is clear. The product description match the item and does not mention batteries, someone asked on the forum and we went to check unfortunately creating this confusion.

The cancellation fee is part of our policies and the HelpDesk processed your request asking to cancel the order.

Anyhow, our intentions is to gather feedback like your so we can improve our site and your shopping experience.

I hope you can understand the situation as it is never our intention to "fool" anyone. Wink

Have a nice day

Hmmm! Think

Just back from HD. The ticket submitted stated that if the item does not work with batteries and if that was the case to cancel the order.

Standard procedure was applied since the item description did not mentioned batteries.

Our help desk processed your request accordingly. The problem here was that I (specifically) made a wrong statement by saying that they would work with batteries. I saw the place for batteries and answered, after further inspection I've noticed that it would not work.

Help Desk answer based on item description which as you know did not mentioned batteries anywhere.

My apologies for the confusion I'll make sure your issue is resolved to your satisfaction.

Have a nice day ThingFling won't let you down.

Sincerely

Guys, TF will more times than not bend over backwards to make you happy about an order, but you gotta know the rules and play by them. The $5 cancellation fee is standard policy for example, and is in the terms of service you click and agree to every time you place your order. It's standard, but like all things TF, if they are correcting a mistake they made, the standard rules often don't apply.

CaptMorgan, PM me if you want 10. I ordered 2 orders of 1 set a piece as I mentioned earlier. I replied to my helpdesk email asking to cancel but my order had already shipped by the time I got the "No we can't help you email."

I have 10 and have no use for them, in fact I have an 11th I got in my tools and stuff MB. Ill gladly give them to you or take any stuff you don't want off your hands.

OK I got the no contacts version myself. Anyone determined how easy it would be to modify them to us batteries? So far I don't see how to crack these suckers open to get to the innards. My current leaning is to go down to RS and buy some plugs that will go in and run a couple wires outside the battery compartment to the external connector.

WAIT! I don't need to buy more stinking connectors. Each light comes with 2, I just have to cut them off the adapter. Hmmm, now which one do I sacrifice? car or 120v adapter?

Dear Mr. Shaggy Fling,

THANK YOU FOR THE 12v SPLITTER! (and the bonus earbuds with airline adapter too)

PS:
HelpFlinger gave me a coupon code good for four more discounts, for a total of five coupons for the five sets of flares.

Together with the coupons with the cards, I have a LOT of coupons to use. Please have lots of good (but inexpensive stuff) this month! Angel

For what it's worth for future buyers, I got five yellow flares in my first set. I've only received the one set so far, of the five I ordered. "Random" doesn't necessarily mean you'll get some of each, just that you don't get to pick which you get.

Edit: And there are no battery contacts.
